GameScope
A game review platform featuring over 280 games where users can write reviews, rate games, chat with the community, and unlock achievements, including secret ones.
Breendonk Memorial
A website about Fort Breendonk and my findings from my visit there. Built as part of the Communication Skills course, this project combines historical research with web design to present the memorial in an informative and respectful way.
KVV Rauw
A web application built for KVV Rauw, a football club in Mol. As a group project, we developed a platform to manage the club's activities. This project taught me how to collaborate effectively in a team and deliver a real product for a real client.
Feest op Tafel
A business case and UX project for a hobby baker who managed everything through Excel. We designed a web application prototype in Figma to streamline her workflow.

PLC Screen System
A PLC screen system designed and programmed to control a bag filler at DCM. This project combined industrial automation with practical problem-solving and gave me hands-on experience with PLC programming and HMI screens.

Circuit-Hack
An educational website to learn computer hardware in a fast and fun way. Circuit-Hack makes learning about computer components interactive and accessible to everyone.
The Vault
An IoT security vault that combines face scanning with code entry. If you're not wearing a mask, you can enter a code. The vault only opens when both the scan and the code are completed.
Personal Projects
Monster Book
A personal project where I draw my own monsters and create a full description for them as if you're writing documentation about the monsters you encounter, like in some movies. Each monster has its own story, characteristics, and background.
Angel/Devil Mural
An angel/devil mural. It's a large artwork that depicts the duality between good and evil. This project combined my passion for painting with a creative challenge on a large scale.
Easter Eggs
Hidden surprises scattered throughout this portfolio. From custom error pages to a coffee clicker game, there's more here than meets the eye.
Gameroom Setup
Setting up my own gameroom where all consoles are connected, including configuring an arcade cabinet. A project that brings together my love for gaming and technology.
GameScope
Context & Background
Web Development (2nd year)
GameScope was an individual project for the Web Development course in the second year of Applied Computer Science at Thomas More Geel. The goal was to build a full-stack web application that demonstrates proficiency in Laravel. I chose to create a game review platform because I wanted to combine my passion for gaming with web development.
Realisations
A fully functional game review platform featuring over 280 games fetched through the RAWG API. Users can create accounts, write and read reviews, chat with the community, and unlock achievements, including some secret ones. The application includes user authentication, a rating system, real-time chat functionality, and a responsive design built with Tailwind CSS.

Breendonk Memorial
Context & Background
Communication Skills (2nd year)
This project was part of the Communication Skills course at Thomas More. After a visit to a cultural activity, we were tasked to be creative and create a visual representation of your visit that you chose. I chose to visit Fort Breendonk and I created a website that presents my findings and reflections. The goal was to combine historical research with clear, respectful communication with a look into the future as well.
Realisations
An informative website about Fort Breendonk covering its history, the memorial's significance, and personal reflections from my visit. The site includes structured content sections, historical images, and a clean layout designed to present sensitive material in a respectful manner. It's not a big project but it was nice to make something with a deeper meaning.

KVV Rauw
Context & Background
Full Stack Essentials (2nd year)
KVV Rauw was a group project for the Full Stack Essentials course at Thomas More. Our team was tasked with building a real web application for a real client KVV Rauw, a football club based in Mol. This was the first project where we worked with an actual external stakeholder (although the client is played by a teacher).
Realisations
A complete web application for the football club featuring team management, match schedules, player profiles, and club news. Built with Laravel and Tailwind CSS, the platform allows the club to manage their activities and keep members informed. The application includes an admin panel that could manage everything.

My Contribution
I was responsible for several CRUD pages such as the location/opponent manager for the admin, the agenda that everyone sees, managing trainings/competitions for trainers and admins, and managing what comes into the shop. Besides that, the team also evaluated each other's code through GitHub pull requests.
PLC Screen System
Context & Background
Industrial Automation (Secondary School)
During my final year of secondary school, my co-worker and me worked on a real-world automation project for DCM (De Ceuster Meststoffen). We were tasked to not only transfer the old PLC system to a new one but also redesign and improve the PLC system to control a bag filling machine. This was a hands-on project that bridged the gap between classroom theory and industrial practice. Other than the more code based and IT related issues, there were also some hardware issues with the machine itself which my co-worker mostly did.
Realisations
A fully functional PLC control system with an HMI (Human-Machine Interface) screen. The system controls the bag filling process including motor control, sensor reading, weight measurement, and safety interlocks. The HMI provides operators with a visual interface to monitor and control the process. This way anyone could operate the machine without needing to know the machine and its functions.

My Contribution
I focused on the HMI screen and the code based tasks since my co-worker was more for the mechanical aspect. Creating the visual interface that operators use to interact with the bag filler system, the integration from the old system to the new one, and updating the old code so it could run on the newer Siemens PLC and the whole HMI design, that was my doing.
Circuit-Hack
Context & Background
SKILLS (1st year)
Circuit-Hack was a group project for the SKILLS course in the first year of Applied Computer Science at Thomas More. The assignment was to create a website that assisted teachers in educating their students in a different way. Our team chose to build a platform that teaches computer hardware in a fun and interactive way. It was not a WOW project, but it was one of the first websites I built in group.
Realisations
An educational website where users can learn about computer components from CPUs and GPUs to RAM and Storage by using interactive quizzes, visual explanations, and engaging content. The site features a clean, modern design and is fully responsive.

My Contribution
I worked on the overall design and layout of the website, built several interactive components using JavaScript, and helped structure the educational content to make it engaging and easy to understand. I focused on the home, contact, and about us pages, and helped the others with their tasks when they needed assistance.
The Vault
Context & Background
IoT Essentials (1st year)
The Vault was a group project for the IoT Essentials course in the first year at Thomas More. The challenge was to build an IoT device that combines multiple security layers. We created a vault that uses both facial recognition and a code entry system, you need to pass both checks to open it.
Realisations
A physical IoT security vault with a two-factor authentication system. The device uses a camera for face scanning (if you're wearing a mask, entry is denied) and a trained AI will detect whether you're good to go or not, and after you can head over to the keypad to try entering the code. Only when both the facial scan and the correct code are good, the vault will open. This project was built with an Orange Pi, sensors and the AI was trained with Teachable Machine.

My Contribution
I focused on the hardware side, so the outer box, the vault door, making sure everything fits and on top of that, the keypad input and then the door that'll open automatically in case both the face recognition and password is correct.
Feest op Tafel
Context & Background
Business & Communication (2nd year, 1st semester)
Feest op Tafel was a group project for the first semester SKILLS of the second year of Applied Computer Science at Thomas More. We were tasked with creating a business case and user requirement specifications for a real client. She's a hobby baker who managed all her orders, recipes, and customers through Excel spreadsheets. The goal was to design a more efficient solution; we did not have to build the actual application yet, only a prototype.
Realisations
A complete ERD and UCD document, user requirement specifications (URS), and an interactive Figma prototype for a future web application. The prototype included features for order management, customer tracking, recipe organization, and an overview dashboard, all designed to replace the client's manual Excel workflow. A different team will use this prototype to actually build the web application.

My Contribution
I contributed to the business case writing, helped conduct user research with the client, and worked on the Figma prototype design. We didn't really split things up as "you do this, I do that". We first sat together and created the ERD and UCD. After that came the URS, and then we divided the work for building the prototype in Figma. I mainly made pages for the admin (our baker) such as managing desserts, the ingredient manager, and the other admin CRUDs. On top of that I also built a smooth flow between the pages so it was easy to demo to the client.
Easter Eggs
Context & Background
I love adding little hidden gems to my projects. It started with a funny joke of a coffee clicker as an under construction page and expanded to several tiny easter eggs throughout this portfolio. The only question is can you find them all?
Realisations
Custom error pages with unique themes for dozens of HTTP status codes, including my star wars themed 404 page, a teapot 418 page, and over 20 humorous fictional error codes I've created (7xx series) that cycle through automatically. There is also a hidden coffee clicker game somewhere with 15 upgrade tiers, a leaderboard system and rebirths. By doing a rebirth for the first time you do unlock a page you won't see anywhere else but that's for you to find out. Now that I think about it, I'd like to grab myself some coffee.

Monster Book
Context & Background
A personal creative project where I combine drawing with wild imagination. Inspired by monster encyclopedias from films and games, I create my own monsters. Each monster has a unique design, backstory, characteristics, and habitat. It's like writing a field guide for creatures that don't exist. It also grew a bit out of the miniature paintings I made for Warhammer and D&D.
Realisations
A growing collection of original monster illustrations, each with a detailed description page covering the creature's name, species classification, habitat, behavior, strengths, weaknesses, and lore. Every monster is hand-drawn and based on fantasy and monster knowledge.

Angel/Devil Mural
Context & Background
A personal art project where I challenged myself to create a large-scale wall painting. The mural depicts the theme of duality. On one side an angel, on the other a devil. It's a kind of symbol for the balance between good and evil. This was my biggest painting project to date.
Realisations
A large wall mural featuring a detailed angel/devil composition. The artwork covers a large part of a wall in my room and was painted using acrylic paints. The piece includes detailed shading, symbolic elements, and a cohesive color palette that ties both halves together.

Gameroom Setup
Context & Background
A personal project born from my love for gaming and technology. I set out to create the ultimate gameroom, a space where all my consoles are connected, organized, and ready to play. There's also a self-reconfigured arcade cabinet that brings the retro gaming experience home.
Realisations
A fully set up gameroom with multiple gaming consoles connected, some cable management and organized storage so everything is always available. The room is lit with a few LEDs for ambiance and UV light. The highlight is a configured arcade cabinet with multiple classic games. The space is designed for both solo gaming sessions and multiplayer with friends.
